Founders Story
About 14 years ago, Gareth and Anca were running a successful architecture and construction businesses. While their architectural practice focus was broad and encapsulated large scale complex projects, the construction business focused on smaller residential projects. Its inception was to provide a smoother client experience of construction—better communication, better design input, better financial control, and ultimately a better outcome.
Before long, it became clear that Design Management was in demand and not just in the residential sector but across all. Now, all projects can have access to this personable team where we all take part in the projects, many minds giving our clients the best outcomes.

Gareth Barrett
Managing Director / Founder
Gareth has over 25 years of progressive experience in architecture, construction, development and design management and has helped to cultivate prosperous organizations and teams.
His success is derived from his abilities to leverage stakeholder relationships, manage multi-level initiatives; develop partnerships; and achieve results through innovation and a thorough knowledge of all phases of design, construction, and development. He takes a project from zero to full speed, fostering high-performing teams and uniting senior management. His ability to build capacities of scale ensures fiscal responsibility and business growth.
Demonstrating leadership across all sectors and trades within the industry, he has developed a lasting and robust network of key contacts. His ability to maintain design, programme and cost while delivering the best design outcome has been well proven and is an asset to any project and team.
Anca Barrett
Director / Founder
Anca brings extensive knowledge and 14 years of working experience in Architecture and Construction to Projective DM. She has worked on a variety of projects, including hospitals, transport, mixed-use and residential.
Anca has a widespread knowledge of project delivery from all phases of design management, construction, and BIM implementation, being able to take projects from initial consultation to completion, delivering outstanding results by consolidating a collaborative environment for project delivery and inspiring stakeholders. Anca is successful in developing strategies relating to construction, design management and BIM management.
Throughout her work life, Anca has helped successfully
develop several businesses and is experienced in promoting and outspreading a
business.
Anca has also project managed residential and hospitality projects of all sizes, the latest ones being 4 Short term Holiday stay apartments, new build in Cottesloe, new build in Piarra Watters, renovations in Stirling and Sorrento.
Anca learned about design and construction from an early age as her mother served as a construction manager and then started a surveying business. Anca’s time spent on construction sites and assisting with surveys and documentation preparation led her to study Architecture and Technology of Design at London Southbank University. After graduating, she worked for various large corporations before joining Gareth to set up their Architectural and Construction Practice. Her depth of knowledge, attention to detail, and drive to get the best outcome have proven invaluable for many clients.
